PIXAR WEEK 2008: What's Up?

No, really. What's Up?

It's the name of Pixar's next movie, yes, but I have no idea what it is about other than it's director by Pete Docter, the director of Monsters Inc. And other than a brief synopsis of the story, a logo, and some preview rendered images in at the Pixar Comic-Con panel (which I'm still kicking myself for missing) which you can see HERE, there is very little information about the movie.

It's evidently about some old guy named Carl Fredricksen, who promises his late wife that he'll have an adventure, then goes and ties a lot of balloons to his house, which flies off to Venezuela with a chubby boy scout named Russel in tow. That's all I know.

There's a very very bare and basic teaser trailer currently out right now, which you can check out HERE, and a couple of images that have appeared on the Internet (there's a new, grainy one HERE too), but other than that, Up is pretty much still a mystery to us.

But who cares, it's directed by the guy who did Monsters Inc, and it's by PIXAR. And to me, anything THEY come up with can really do no wrong.

So yup, next year, the only way for Pixar is UP!
